Really exciting and big things are coming up for Nas. He was recently listed among recipients of the 2015 W.E.B Dubois Medal from Harvard University, but the Associated Press.
Among the recipients of this award are are Marian Edelman- founder of the Children’s Defense Fund; Mellody Hobson- president of Ariel Investments and chairman, the Ariel Investment Trust.
This is a huge accomplishment for the rap game. Nas expressed his gratitude for the award thought his Instagram.
“Historic night for the rap game,” Nas said. “At the Hutchins Center Honors for the W. E. B. Du Bois Medal ceremony. This is a first for the Rap Game to receive this award but, definitely not the last. Thank you.”
