4 pm - 10 pm | Eric "DJ Erockalypze" Cabrera's love for hip hop culture, turntablism and music started in the San Francisco bay area where he grew up. Surrounded by family who ran a music arts school, an area that cultivated arguably some of the best turntablists and DJ's in the world, and falling in love with radio where creative mix shows were just a cassette tape recording away. The obsession of learning the art of scratching a piece of vinyl started at 15. Fast forward to 2005 when he finally won his shot in the industry by winning U92's Making The DJ contest. Starting the stations first prime time afternoon mixshow was the start of a journey in to feeding Utah's nightlife scene and keeping an ear to the street. Staying connected locally and nationally and three ownerships later, his shot at Program Director/Brand Manager became a reality. Erock is proud to call Utah home all these years.
