Ice Cube (real name: O'Shea Jackson Sr.) is a legendary American rapper, actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. He first gained fame in the late 1980s as a founding member of the pioneering rap group N.W.A., known for their raw and unfiltered lyrics about street life and police brutality, especially on their groundbreaking album "Straight Outta Compton." After leaving N.W.A. in 1989 over financial disputes, Ice Cube launched a hugely successful solo career. His early solo albums like "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" (1990) and "Death Certificate" (1991) are considered classics of political and gangsta rap, known for their sharp commentary on racism, inequality, and Black identity. Beyond music, Ice Cube became a major Hollywood figure. He starred in and produced a wide range of films—from gritty dramas like "Boyz n the Hood" (1991) to comedies like the "Friday" series and "Barbershop." He also founded his own production company, Cube Vision. In addition to music and film, Ice Cube has ventured into business and sports—most notably co-founding the BIG3, a 3-on-3 basketball league featuring former NBA players.
