21 Years Later…
We lost Biggie on March 9th, 1997.
One of the many cases for Biggies’s inclusion in hip-hop’s G.O.A.T. conversation is his versatility. The Brooklyn boy could flow like a faucet over virtually any instrumental—a skill made most apparent when he invited Bone Thugs-n-Harmony along for a collaboration on his sophomore album, Life After Death.
On the Stevie J-and-Puff Daddy-produced track, Biggie adapts to the rapid-fire rhyme style of his guests, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Bizzy Bone, resulting in one of his most memorable verses.
Genius decided to deconstruct Biggie’s 1997 Song “Notorious Thugs.” Check The Rhyme below.
