With businesses shut and quarantine orders in place, many of us are now working from home. But how long will this last?
California Gov. Gavin Newsom says the state’s “stay-at-home” order will be in place “until further notice,” while Los Angeles residents should expect to be locked down for another two months and prepare for “longer,” according to their mayor.
At Stanford University, biologist Erin Mordecai believes at least another five months will be needed to contain the coronavirus if we stick with social distancing measures, although “multiple interventions” would have to take place over the next “12 to 18 months or more” unless there’s a vaccine.
With that in mind, the Los Angeles Times suggests ten activities to cope while maintaining social distancing, including gardening, meditation, video chats, and spring cleaning.
