Ok guys, if you’re into sarcastic and awkward humor and you haven’t heard of the HBO series, ‘Insecure’, you are missing out! The creator, writer and main character of the show, Issa Rae, has self-described herself as an “awkward black girl” and says the show is about identity issues she’s personally encountered of not fitting in. ‘Insecure’ sheds light on issues that black or multicultural women and at times, ALL women face in everyday life. So whether you are an “awkward black girl” or not or anywhere in between, or even a guy! This show is for everyone and is a must watch and will make you cringe and laugh as you are sure to relate to some of the “awkward” situations Issa faces.
