DMX was shopping at the mall in Maine when he decided to do a good deed.
He was in Maine for a concert to replace Wiz Khalifa on the line up who hurt himself while working out. While at the register, a young girl put her purchases up on the counter, her mother told her not to crowd the other customer.
It was DMX but they didn’t recognize him. He started talking to them, asking them if they were back to school shopping and they said yes. That’s when he offered to pay for the purchases. The mom said she couldn’t allow him to do that and he said that he has 15 kids and has been blessed in his life as a performer and an artist. She asked him his name and that is when the mom’s jaw dropped. She had not recognized that it was DMX.
The 12 year old had never heard of him but guess who went home and downloaded all of his music and said they are a fan now? Wonder if she did the #DMXChallenge? Have you ever paid for someone’s purchase who was in line ahead of you or maybe they were short money?
