On Monday morning, a man was arrested after attempting to rob a Big Daddy’s Pizza on 470 South 700 East.
36-year-old Curtis Sims entered the store wearing a large white garbage bag as a disguise and asked the cashier for money. He then used a large metal pole to strike the employee, hitting him in the hand.
The cashier began to retaliate, even using a pizza pan as a weapon, and he and 3 other employees chased Sims down 700 E. as he attempted to flee the store. They chased him until police were eventually able to take him into custody, and Sims was booked for aggravated robbery.
