With this feat, Kanye has now tied the record set by Eminem and The Beatles. His first album, The College Dropout, charted at No. 2 the first week, but since then all of Kanye’s albums have entered the charts at No. 1 after their first week.
Success for the album didn’t seem like a sure thing, as people had threatened to boycott Kanye’s music after his “slavery was a choice” antics and more. However, it looks as though fans put their frustrations aside and bought, streamed or downloaded his album.
Now that you’ve had ample time to listen to ye, check out some of the samples he used. Did you recognize any?
you might love ‘ye’ or you might hate it, but kanye dug deep for these samples 💪💪https://t.co/xaPkAelbu6 pic.twitter.com/HemHNXVCrw
