“Following her success in lobbying Donald Trump to pardon Chris Young and Alice Marie Johnson from their lengthy prison sentences, Kim Kardashian has officially set her sights on becoming a legitimate attorney.
Recently when speaking to Vogue, the socialite and businesswoman revealed that she’s already begun to actively study for the bar exam, which she plans on passing by the year 2022. During that time, however, Kim won’t be attending law school, as she’s instead begun a 4-year apprenticeship at a San Francisco-based law firm through the support of Van Jones.
Kardashian explained that her advocacy for Young and Johnson helped spark her newfound passion, while recalling that the experience instilled a desire to learn more about the criminal justice system.
“So I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people,” Kardashian recalled, “and I just sat there, like, Oh, s***, I need to know more.”
She then elaborated by adding: “I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case. It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.”
Of course, it should be noted that Kim’s father was the decorated attorney Robert Kardashian, who once gained national recognition for representing O.J. Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.”
