Oprah Breaks Down Why she never got married
In a recent interview, Oprah explained why she never married her life partner, Stedman Graham. She said he did propose to her in 1993 and she said yes. She immediately had doubts and realized that she didn’t actually want marriage, she wanted to be asked to be married.
She said “I wanted to know he felt I was worthy of being his missus but I didn’t want the sacrifices, the compromises, the day-in-day-out commitment required to make a marriage work. My life with the show was my priority, and we both knew it.”
