Pharrell Williams May Seek Legal Action After Trump Plays ‘Happy’ At Rally Same Day As Synagogue Tragedy

Pharrell Williams is the latest musician to have an issue with President Trump playing their music at his rallies. On Saturday, the same day that eleven people were massacred at a Pittsburgh synagogue, Trump had a rally in Indiana where he played Pharrell’s song, “Happy.”

“There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose,” Pharrell said in a letter that the Daily Mail received.

The letter continued by saying that the President has no permission to play his music, other musicians to have an issue with President Trump’s song choices at rallies include Steven Tyler, Adele, Queen and Earth, Wind & Fire.
