Post Malone is a triple threat. You know him from his 2015 hit single “White Iverson” and now he has his debut album. “Stoney” was released December 09, 2016, but you probably looked over his album because it dropped the same date as J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only.” He incorporates folk and hip-hop in a way that blurs the lines and adds the likes of Kehlani, 2 Chainz, Quavo, and Justin Bieber.
Raised in Dallas, Malone loved music from a young age and planned on joining a band thanks to the video game Guitar Hero. After his dad gave him a copy of Terror Squad’s hit “Lean Back,” he decided to become an MC. After putting some braids in his hair, he coined the term “White Iverson,” and when he posted the track in early 2015, he hit a million views within the month. Later that year, Malone signed with the record label Republic and put out a mixtape.
Here’s the newest music video for “Congratulations.”
Some of my other favorite tracks off the album are: “Deja Vu” (feat. Justin Bieber), “Go Flex,” “Feel” (feat. Kehlani), “Money Made Me Do It” (feat. 2 Chainz) and my personal favorite “Feeeling Whitney.” Cop the album and give it a listen yourself. Stoney – Post Malone
