Defensive Tactics…
It’s not a bad move, and maybe something more of us should consider? Maybe not. That’s up for debate. But, to be specific, Star Wars Director for The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson deleted every single tweet from before January 25, 2018.
Johnson’s move comes days after fellow Disney director James Gunn was fired as director of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise because of a series of questionable tweets from years ago that included rape and pedophilia jokes.
So, is Johnson trying to hide something? Why else would he delete 20,000 tweets if he had nothing to worry about?
Here’s his response as to why he did it,
No official directive at all, and I don’t think I’ve ever tweeted anything that bad. But it’s nine years of stuff written largely off the cuff as ephemera, if trolls scrutinizing it for ammunition is the new normal, this seems like a “why not?” move.

Smart move? Yes. Will it raise questions about whether he was trying to hide something? Most likely.
