I think most of us can relate to having a late night out, only to struggle to find your keys to get in your home.
Unfortunately for the rubber band man T.I. this led to his arrest inside his gated community in Atlanta, TMZ reports. T.I. allegedly confronted the neighborhood security guard on duty to return to his home but didn’t have keys with him. According to TMZ an argument ensued between T.I. and the guard, but was then allowed in. But he wasn’t done with the argument and later returned for round two. This was when the police got involved and arrested him for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
T.I. said in a statement that he did not physically attack the guard, and that he was offended by his words. He also says that he believes he was locked up for “being an affluent African-American celebrity” by “white cops in a very white area.” T.I. is currently released on bond.
So maybe not all of us can really relate to having a gated community, nor having a security guard to (or not) let us in. I’m still confused how you don’t recognize T.I. and why things had to escalate. I’ve heard a story about how G-Eazy lost his ID at the airport and used Wikipedia to get through security.. maybe Tip could have used the power of Google to convince the guard and to avoid all the trouble. I just hope this doesn’t land him back in jail later because hip hop needs him.
