Klay Thompson was everywhere for the Warriors on the NBA’s opening night of the season. He had 16 points, six rebounds and three assists, all while chillin’ in the stands enjoying the game.
Okay, so maybe the guy in the stands was actually an impersonator.
YouTube star “BigDawsTv” sat behind the Warriors bench decked out in a full Warriors Klay Thompson uniform. He’s attempted the prank before, but this time he was able to grab the attention of both NBA fans and one of the Warriors players.
Hey @KDTrey5 thanks for the love last night ✊Always been my favorite NBA player and he was the only warrior to say hi to Klay!

Kevin Durant just gave me a high five and referred to me as “Klay”

Even the Warriors Twitter had to chime in on #FakeKlay

He was feeling so good about his persona that he gave himself a quick halftime interview on this thoughts from the first half.

After seeing #FakeKlay on Tuesday night it inspired #FakeHarden. On Wednesday (10/18/17) night, Fake Harden stopped to take photos with fans during the game. As far as “who wore it better?” that title clearly goes to Fake Klay, however, you’ve got to give it up to both of them.

There’s even a Kobe Bryant doppleganger who didn’t have to suit up to get any recognition.

Only time will tell when a fake Rudy Gobert or other Jazz player shows up to Vivint Smart Home Arena. Maybe it could be your Halloween costume?
