Isaiah Rashad
Isaiah Rashad is a Chattanooga, Tennessee-born rapper and songwriter who has become one of the most distinctive voices in modern Southern hip-hop. Known for his laid-back delivery, introspective lyrics and hazy, soulful production, Rashad built a devoted following through music that blends personal storytelling with Southern rap, jazz, R&B and lo-fi influences.
Rashad made his mark with his 2014 debut EP, Cilvia Demo, after signing with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). The project quickly established him as an artist to watch and earned him a spot on XXL’s 2014 Freshman Class. He followed with The Sun’s Tirade in 2016, which reached the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 and became a Gold-certified album. His 2021 album, The House Is Burning, continued his evolution with fan favorites including “Headshots (4r Da Locals)” and collaborations with artists such as SZA, Jay Rock, Lil Uzi Vert and Smino.
After another five-year break between albums, Rashad returned in 2026 with IT’S BEEN AWFUL, a 16-track album that marks his latest chapter as an artist.
