Cardi B joined forces with OWYN, a vegan-based nutrition company that offers protein shakes made of superfood greens- kale, spinach, and broccoli, vegan omega 3, as well as fiber.
Cardi donated 20,000 shakes to New York hospital and ambulance staff. TMZ reports that Cardi “wanted to help the workers who, in most cases, don’t even get a chance to eat during their shifts.”
OWYN, which stands for “Only What You Need” released a statement saying they had “joined forces with like-minded brands to unite in efforts to help charitable organizations that have been affected by COVID-19.”
The nutrition company will donate two percent of their online sales to @foodallergy during April in order to give people access to allergen-friendly resources while the food supply deals with shortages.
