After shutting down the state’s bars and nightclubs to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday threw partiers in the panhandle state a bone. In a new executive order, DeSantis has lifted a state restriction that forbids eateries from delivering alcohol to customers’ homes. Under the new order, alcohol can be delivered — as long as it accompanies a food order and the recipient shows I.D.
Friday’s order also calls for all the state’s fitness centers and gyms to close.
