It’s been close to a year that we were able to bring our daughter home from the NICU. She did have a trying winter this past year visiting the hospital about 5 times during a 5 month time span. Some hospital stays for as long as a week. The reasons have been mostly due to her lung development. She also experienced a rare sickness known as Kawasaki disease. That brought on flu like symptoms including fever, cold and a rash that ran all over her. It was very difficult to see our poor baby go through this. But she was able to come back stronger after those scary five days.
Now she is officially one year and four months old. She would be thirteen months if she was a full term baby. It’s cute to see her in a newborn body with an incredible personality. I mean really, she may be small but she amazes everyone with the huge smile she brings the world!
Her smile really lit up the room after my Cougars lost to her and her mother’s Utah Utes this year.
I am blessed to have her in my life. She even has an appetite now!
Daddy loves you my pretty girl! The only thing we are dreading is the upcoming winter. I hope it won’t be as bad as last winter. I will be there for you my princess. LET’S GROW BIG AND STRONG HUNNY!
