WATCH | The Evolution of 50 Cent

Curtis Jackson…

50 Cent has been a huge presence in hip-hop for years. The Jamaica, Queens native first burst onto the scene in the late ‘90s after learning the ropes from the legendary Jam Master Jay. According to Genius, soon after, 50 was dropping acclaimed mixtapes like 50 Cent is the Future and No Mercy, No Fear that eventually gave way to multi-Platinum albums like Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre.

Along the way, he formed his G-Unit collective alongside Tony Yayo, Young Buck, and Lloyd Banks, and participated in a revolving series of beefs with rappers like Ja Rule, The Game, and Rick Ross.

With five solo albums, 10 mixtapes, and four collaborative projects under his belt, 50 has kept busy since he first gained popularity.
