Bangarangs Top 5 Places to Grub This Weekend

Bangarang here checkin in giving you some amazing spots to eat this weekend!

The Bayou- If you’re a cajun food fan like I am you’ll absolutely love this place. It’s a local spot just off of sixth and state street. Have you ever had alligator cheese cake? I’ve never heard of such a thing until I ate there. Their main dish that I always get is called Gumbolaya. It’s a mixture of Gumbo and Jambalaya and it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Did I mention they have something around 300 beers to choose from?

Bohemian Brewery- Just off of 72nd and state street, this place brings Czech inspired culture to America. I’ve never been to the Czech Republic but every time I eat here, I feel like I’m there! My favorite dish here is the Schweinshaxen. It’s a pork shank served with red cabbage. It’s so filling! All of their beer is brewed in house and it’s probably some of the best beer in Salt Lake.

Curry Fried Chicken- When I moved to Salt Lake City, I slept on this place. I drove past it on state street hundreds of times before I actually tried. Truth be told, I’m mad at myself for not trying it sooner. My favorite dish is the Curry Fried Chicken Plate. They give you a breast and leg with pita bread, a salad and rice. Imagine chicken deep fried in a curry batter. It’s crispy well cooked chicken every time. They’re located at 66o south state street downtown!

Taquiera 27- If you know anything about me, I consider myself THE taco lord. No taco is safe when I am around. This place has some of the best tacos in the city! My Favorite here is the P.B.L.T.A. It’s Pork Belly, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avocado. So good. Their molé plates are amazing too! Another reason I like this place is because they have what seems to be every single brand of tequila. Go check them out at 149 east 200 south downtown!

Tonkotsu- Have you ever had real Ramen? Not the stuff you get from packaging, but the real stuff. It’s amazing. Imagine a super flavorful soup with noodles big chunks of veggies and beef. This stuff is what dreams are made of. I was there the other day with DJ Handsome Hands I got the Curry Ramen and ordered Egg Rolls to match. If you like quiet places with a nice chill laid back environment, I highly recommend this place. It’s on the west side at 1898 W 3500 in Salt Lake City!

Well, you’ve been equipped with a plethora of options as far as food goes. Check it out these places and let me know what you think!
