Over 1 Million in Scholarships…
How good would it feel to 1) just attend Beyonce and Jay-Z’s On The Run II Tour and 2) leave with a $100,000 college scholarship? Teenager Khairi Perry was one of 11 high school seniors that went through all of those emotions in one night.
The once homeless teen received the funds from the BeyGood and Shawn Carter Foundations, according to the News Tribune.
Perry was also recently named the King County Youth of the Year for the Boys and Girls Club and earned a $2,000 scholarship from that.
In the future, Perry hopes to attend the University of Oregon for chemical engineering. One thing is for sure, financial stability won’t be a problem during his degree.
