On Sunday night, the Miss Peru pageant contestants took a brave stand against a prevalent issue in their country: violence against women. When the contestants introduce themselves, they’re expected to share their name and body measurements. The women received resounding praise from around the world for using their platform to shed light on a troubling global issue.
