After dating for almost a year, and with very little explanation, Halsey took to Instagram yesterday to inform fans that she and G-Eazy are “spending some time apart.”
Halsey didn’t give any particular reason for the split, simply stating how eager she is to work on her career, sending well-wishes to G-Eazy, and thanking fans for “respecting our privacy at this time.” The news was shared via her Insta story, and almost every photo of the couple disappeared from her feed around the same time. As of right now, G-Eazy has yet to address the split, but it looks some of their photos may have come down off his feed as well.
Look, I try not to invest too much in celebrity relationships. They are absolutely none of my business, and my opinion changes absolutely nothing about their outcome. The being said, I was kind of rooting for these guys. There was something admirable about the way they balanced each other out, and their affection seemed really genuine. I hope the time apart is temporary, mostly for them… And a little because the only other couple I am invested in rn is Pete and Ariana, and I keep getting made fun of for it. (They are darling even if they are moving awfully fast, don’t @ me.)
