The team at Verzuz has announced a new date for Keyshia Cole and Ashanti to showcase their extensive catalogs.
After their in-person Verzuz battle on December 12, 2020, was postponed due to Ashanti contracting COVID-19 another date was selected, January 9, 2021, but with growing coronavirus numbers there has been growing concern about doing the battle in-person. “RAIN, SLEET, HAIL, SNOW LET’S GO Join us Thursday, January 21st as we kick off the first #VERZUZ of 2021 with @Ashanti and @KeyshiaCole. Thank you everyone for being patient with us. We can’t wait for this magical night with Keyshia and Ashanti,” said a post on the Verzuz Instagram. It was decided after the last postponement of the Ashanti/Keyshia Cole battle that Verzuz would go back to its original format of each artist being in their own space in order to social distance.
