Astroworld Stays Undefeated…
Nicki Minaj really thought she had a No. 1 album with Queen, but unfortunately, it debuted at No. 2 behind Travis Scott’s Astroworld.
Despite what the charts say, Nicki is still considering her album to be No. 1 and believes that the only reason Scott’s new album is still holding the top spot is because of Kylie Jenner. Nicki is specifically annoyed with Kylie’s post a few days ago where she plastered Scott’s album all over her social media saying she’s ready for the tour. Nicki claims Scott sold 50,000 units just from that post alone.
I don’t get why she’s annoyed. Just because you didn’t have the No. 1 album this week doesn’t mean you won’t have it next week. And if it was better than Astroworld it would’ve beaten it wouldn’t it have?
The MTV Video Music Awards are tonight (August 20) and Scott made a last minute seating change as he was originally set to sit directly behind Nicki.
The couple will now sit across the room from Nicki, but TMZ claims that the seating change is not related to Nicki’s rant, but the change was to more prominently showcase the artist with the top album in the country.
We all know the real reason his seat got moved. But hey, if I had the No. 1 album in the country I wouldn’t want to be sitting behind somebody who couldn’t beat me.
