Pei Wei Exposes Ingredients in Panda Express Orange Chicken

The savagery…

Pei Wei is on a mission to be totally transparent and healthy about the Chinese food that they serve. They’re calling it the “Pei Wei Clean Label Initiative” and want to help their customers make smart choices about what they eat.

They also want other restaurants to do the same, so they challenged their rival Panda Express to release the ingredients to their most popular Orange Chicken dish.

Did you really expect Panda Express to respond? Of course not! After two weeks, Pei Wei did their own research and revealed what they came across on Twitter.

The results include uncooked, battered frozen dark meat chicken chunks with binders added, high fructose corn syrup, potassium chloride, sodium benzoate, disodium guanylate, guar gum, nonfat dry milk, dried whole eggs, and disodium inosinate.

Was this a shady move from Pei Wei? Would you prefer to know every ingredient in fast food?
