Another One
Salt Lake Community College is the No. 7-ranked team in the nation and they’re off on another trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association championship tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas — or “The Road to Hutch” for short.
The Bruins finished the season with a record of 30-3 and will be making their sixth tournament appearance in the last 11 seasons. The Bruins have two championships under their belt, taking it all in 2009 and 2016.
Salt Lake CC Bruins are now 30-3 with a win over AZ Western (89-86) to secure a District Championship!

KSL Sports caught up with former Kearns High star Bushmen Ebet for his thoughts on the tournament. Ebet was a freshman on the 2016 title-winning team and decided to sit out in 2017.
“I always told myself when I come back I’m about to get another ring, so here it goes. That was my No. 1 goal, get back and just be the best player on this team.”
The tournament tips off March 19 in Hutchinson, Kansas with The Bruins’ playing on Wednesday, Mar. 21 at 1:00 p.m. EST. They’ll take on the winner of South Plains and Highland.
Good luck Bruins!
