The Utah Jazz Open New ‘Sensory Room’ For Autistic Children

Today, Vivint Smart Home Arena and the Utah Jazz are unveiling a new sensory room geared towards children with developmental disabilities like autism. Rudy Gobert will be hosting the unveiling of the new facility to local children and their families.

Holly Mero-Bench, director of Vivint Gives Back, said, “Sensory rooms aid in both calming and stimulating the senses for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them cope with environments where it may be difficult to remain happy and productive, such as a professional basketball game. Designed and built by Vivint Smart Home and the Utah Jazz, the sensory room is one of the most advanced in any NBA arena.”
