2 Chainz shared a video on Instagram of @deafinitelydope‘s ASL interpretation of his song “PROUD” with the comment “PROUD in sign language tooo Hard… Video otw.” The song is one of four from his EP The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It, released in early February as a lead-up to his upcoming album, Rap Or Go To The League.
DEAFinitely Dope, the organization behind the account, is dedicated to uniting the hearing and Deaf communities using music and sign language. Matthew Maxey, the founder of DEAFinitely Dope and the one signing in the video, is hard of hearing himself and wanted to create something to help others experiencing the same issues find peace and purpose.
