Kev’s Teacher of The Week: Copper Hills High School

Lost, but won…

I mean technically Copper Hills lost the Twitter battle against West Jordan High School, but with how close the vote was and so many entries I had to reward them as well.

A total of 65 votes were placed during A and B lunch at Copper Hills High School with 43 teachers receiving nominations. What that tells me is that Copper Hills has a lot of fantastic teachers at the school that the students look up to and respect.

But there can only be one teacher of the week.

Mr. Timpson received 6 nominations and is Kev’s Teacher of The Week based on the small sampling of students. Jacob Timpson is a social sciences (History/World Civilization) teacher at the school and student’s had this to say about him,

“He is super funny, awesome and super chill.”

“Awesome at teaching and makes school fun.”

“Funny and inspirational.”

“Funny and cool.”

“Funny, caring and smart.”

And my personal favorite, “He can roast people on the spot.”

With 5 nominations from students, second place goes to Math teacher Jennifer Ward. Students had this to say about her,

“She helps you understand what other teachers just throw at you.”

“Best teacher I’ve had. She’s nice and kind.”

“Great teacher. Caring and understanding.”

“Funny, real, and the best at teaching. Talks with students. Everything about her is great.”

“She makes learning easy and fun. It’s funny to watch her sass kids.”

There was a two-way tie for third place with three nominations each. Special Education teacher Neolani Green, and Math teacher Nicki Beus.

Congratulations to all of the teachers at Copper Hills High School who received votes, we appreciate all that you do for the rising generation.
