Mac Miller’s 2014 mixtape, “Faces” is heading to streaming services
And the 24-track project will be available to fans on October 15th, with a vinyl version also available. The mixtape explores Miller’s struggle with addiction and his childhood. Sam Mason directed a video for the song, “Colors and Shapes” and asked Mac’s family to provide shots of the city where Miller grew up, his old toys, and objects that would help the director paint a picture and inspire a story about Miller. “The track felt very visual to me – like it had its own world,” said Sam. The song was also inspired by Mac’s dog, Ralph. The mixtape features Rick Ross, Thundercat, Vince Staples, Schoolboy Q, and Earl Sweatshirt.
