The Weeknd Pulls Collab With H&M After Racist Ad

H&M has some explaining to do! This morning an ad surfaced that has the internet up in arms over its blunt racist agenda. The ad shows an African American boy wearing a green pull over hoodie that reads “Coolest Monkey In The Jungle”. I’ts obvious the brand meant to offend, because It’s extremely hard to believe that this was a “mistake”.

Had they placed a little white boy in the ad, I am sure no one would have thought twice about it. The fact that they chose to have an African American boy model the sweater shows their intent, and carelessness.

I honestly have no words for the disappointment I have for H&M. This was an obvious attack on the African American community, and I am disgusted that they had the nerve!

The Weeknd didn’t think it was cute either, just minutes ago, he made it known that he will no longer work with H&M on clothing collaborations for his XO brand. Just last year he teamed up with the clothing company to create new XO/H&M clothing collection.  Check out his reaction below.
