These days movie theaters are seen as a dying business, yet almost every theater on the planet was packed nonstop over the weekend.
Theaters can thank the Avengers for that. The opening weekend of Avengers: Endgame obliterated box office records with a remarkable $350 million in North America and $1.2 billion worldwide. Over 1 Billion in 5 days! That’s almost $250 million a day and according to Variety, ticket sales accounted for more than four of every five tickets.
