Build-A-Bear recently announced its first-ever, “Pay Your Age Day”, where customers (young and old) could purchase any bear of their choosing for the price of their age. The promotion had no minimum age and was capped at $29 for the young-at-heart.
Due to a massive turnout and safety concerns from local authorities, all participating U.S. Build-A-Bear stores have been temporarily closed. This includes locations at University Mall in Orem, Fashion Place Mall in Murray, Station Park in Farmington.
Build-A-Bear released a statement on their website saying,
“Per local authorities, we cannot accept additional Guests at our U.S. Build-A-Bear Workshop locations due to crowd and safety concerns.
We have closed lines in our U.S. stores. We understand some of our Guests are disappointed and we will reach out directly as soon as possible.”
